As co-owner of Eyecare Plus Mermaid Beach, she combines clinical expertise with a patient-centred approach, delivering personalised, evidence-based care using advanced treatments and technologies.

Having experienced dry eye herself, Shaina brings a deep sense of empathy to her work, recognising the significant impact it can have on daily life. This insight drives her commitment to early intervention, education, and empowering patients to take a proactive approach to their eye health.

Shaina is founder of Dry Eye Impact, where she supports optometrists across Australia to build confidence and capability in dry eye care through mentoring and education.

Her advocacy has been recognised through media appearances on 9 News and Sky News, and she was a finalist in the 2026 Women in Industry Awards. Through her clinical work, leadership, and education, Shaina is committed to raising the standard of dry eye care and driving meaningful change within the profession.
